Dog-trot log cabin, built 1855 by John Sharp. Siding later added. Bought 1870 by Slaughter, Confederate veteran, county tax assessor, school teacher. Prior to 1900, served as post office for Greenhill community. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, 1965.
