1850. Built near Leon Creek headwaters by immigrant John Moos and bride Rosina. Of field stone, mortared with caliche; design typical of pioneer Texas Germans. Used as relay station for stagecoaches, San Antonio to El Paso and California. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark - 1964
